We accept cash, debit/credit cards, Zelle, and HSA (health savings account)/FSA (flexible spending account) cards. You do not need to do anything special. We are a medical facility, and our services are covered with an HSA or FSA credit card. We process our payments using Chase Merchant Services; therefore, all purchases are subject to a transaction fee.
We do not accept insurance as many services are not considered medically necessary by insurance companies despite research being available of their benefits. We can however provide you with a “superbill” receipt, complete with diagnosis codes that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement to you for the office visit and/or medication(s). Most weight loss medications are not covered by insurance. Even if they are our prices are often cheaper than the covered insurance price.
At Transform You Medical Weight Loss Center, we have several membership programs available that are all inclusive! You and your health care provider will decide which program is best for you. This will be discussed during your initial consultation.
Wegovy/Semaglutide and Zepbound/Tirzepatide are our most popular weight loss medications and are the gold standard for medical weight loss medications. They are FDA-approved and safe. Studies show a 15-20% reduction in body weight. These medications are in a class of medications called GLP-1s. GLP-1s have been widely used for weight loss since 2005 and are generally very well tolerated, with minimal side effects.
Yes, we offer compounded medications for semaglutide, tirzepatide and oral medications through our partner compounding pharmacies. We offer several membership plans for oral and injectable medications.
Yes. Compounding pharmacies are regulated by State Boards of Pharmacy and expected to comply with Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) requirements. They also receive compounding accreditation. Our compounding pharmacy partners have been verified regarding pharmacy safety data, efficacy data, and that they are in good standing with their State’s Board of Pharmacy and the FDA.
To become a patient, you must have a BMI over 30 kg/m2 or over 27 kg/m2 with associated weight-related conditions like high cholesterol or high blood pressure.
We divide our program into 4 phases: Phase 1 – You will meet with one of our board-certified providers for a physical exam. At that time, your medial history and lab results will be reviewed. We will establish a health baseline for monitoring your health. Phase 2- We will establish an individualized plan of care for you and medication will be ordered. – Phase 3 – You will continue to meet with your provider either in office or via telemedicine, so that adjustments to your care plan can be made. You will be given dietary and physical activity recommendations. You will also meet with a Cognitive Behavioral Health Practitioner to discuss barriers to weight loss. Phase 4 – We will recheck your labs and discuss your progress to determine the next steps for maintenance.
Prior to your initial visit with your provider, you will complete an intake form that asks about your current medications, your daily nutrition, and other medical history. Your provider will review this information to understand you, your health, and your goals. You will also have an initial lab panel ordered to evaluate your baseline values. Once all information has been received and you have had labs drawn at a local facility, you will then schedule an in person visit with your provider to discuss results. During your visit, you will have a physical examination, discuss treatment options, and determine which medication regimen is better suited for your goals.
We recognize that losing weight is a big challenge and can be mentally crippling at times. Many times, it just takes one obstacle to derail months of hard work & determination. We know that sometimes an inconvenience can be just enough of an obstacle to cause the weight loss journey to come to a halt. Monthly appointments on a busy side of town which require you to navigate heavy traffic, leave work early or find a babysitter can be difficult to overcome. We would like for the telemedicine follow up visits to take place in your home, with your scale so you can weigh in during the visit.
Telemedicine visits are very similar to in-person visits. Any concerns you or the provider have may be discussed during the visit. Your provider will be very accessible for any questions or concerns as well through phone or email. This is a quote from the American Academy of Family Physicians regarding telemedicine, “The American Academy of Family Physicians supports expanded use of telemedicine as an appropriate and efficient means of improving health, when conducted within the context of appropriate standards of care.”
